Location

Located in Lemhi County, Idaho, and consisting of unpatented mining claims covering three exploration projects: Blacktail, Sunset, and Fourth of July.

Geology, Mineralization & Exploration

Blacktail

The project area is underlain by the Proterozoic Big Creek Formation composed of thick beds of fine-grained quartzite with relatively minor beds of medium grained, quartzites. FMC collected 425 samples from the project area. Eight had greater than 0.03 ounces gold per ton. The best assayed 1.142 ounces gold per ton. The USBM also sampled the area and took 34 samples which also returned good values in gold, silver and base metals.

From U.S. Bureau of Mines (USBM) records, Meridian Gold Co. and FMC Corp. explored the area during the late 1980's.  About 4,000 feet of drilling was completed.

Sunset

Quartz Mountain Gold Corp. took 99 lode and 103 soil samples during their exploration program.      Their samples assayed as much as 11.6 ppm gold. USBM took fourteen samples that ran as high as 4.8 grams of gold and 9.3 grams of silver.

Exploration is on a northeast-trending, gold-bearing breccia zone, over 16-feet thick and at least 1,500 feet long, cutting quartzite of the Big Creek Formation.

Fourth of July

Mineralized float along with surface and underground workings cover an area of several acres. Principal workings consist of a 170-foot-long adit, six caved adits, and a caved shaft. Fourteen          samples were collected during a USBM examination. These assayed as much as 0.819 ounce gold per ton, 11.8 ounce silver per ton, 5.1 percent copper, and 1.5 percent lead.
